The SSL Nucleus 2 is a new white version of the Solid State Logic flexible multi-DAW controller with mic preamps, DAW I/O and studio monitoring.
The SSL Nucleus 2 improves on the original design with the inclusion of Talkback, main/mini monitor switching and the addition of Dante connectivity, replacing the previously used USB. The talkback function is controlled via the large TALK knob and comes with an adjustable gain and feeds the headphone output. A -20dB dim can be applied to the monitor outputs if desired. The addition of a second set of speaker output activated by the MINI monitoring button in the centre section. These new features make the Nucleus 2 a much more useful control centre for your studio.
Replacing the USB connector by the new SSL Dante Network I/O audio interface frees precious USB connectors and connects to your computer via ethernet. Dante also offers incredibly low latency (4ms) when used with the included Dante Virtual Soundcard software. Large facility will also benefit from Dante's powerful audio over IP networking technology to share low-latency audio between multiple computers.
Finally, the Nucleus 2 has had a change of colour into white. A dark version, more closely matching the rest of the Xlogic range, is available as well.
